When I say… “I am a Christian” I’m not shouting “I’m clean livin.” I’m whispering “I was lost,” Now I’m found and forgiven.
When I say…”I am a Christian” I don’t speak of this with pride. I’m confessing that I stumble and need CHRIST to be my guide.
When I say… “I am a Christian” I’m not trying to be strong. I’m professing that I’m weak and need HIS strength to carry on.
When I say… “I am a Christian” I’m not bragging of success. I’m admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess.
When I say… “I am a Christian” I’m not claiming to be perfect, My flaws are far too visible but, God believes I am worth it.
When I say… “I am a Christian” I still feel the sting of pain, I have my share of heartaches So I call upon His name.
When I say… “I am a Christian” I’m not holier than thou, I’m just a simple sinner who received God’s good grace, somehow.

I agree. :))haha. she's right. when you say youre a Christian, many people thinks that your so kind and all, but actually, your not (kinda). I mean, dont get me wrong here ok? in my interpretation, when you say you're a Christian, many people gets high expectations from you. like, what my mom expects me to be. Like what Maya Angelou said, When I say "I'm A Christian", some of you thinks that I'm clean of sins, i'm perfect, i'm holy or whatever crap they think. She's right, you know. when i say "I'm a Christian," it's like saying, i accept that I'm a sinner and only God saved me from my sin. That He is my Savior; That I am weak and I need Him to be Strong; That I am poor but with Him, i know that i'm rich; That's what i am. Not perfect. just like you. a sinner. who needs God to be cleaned. :))
